Ignite Your Primal Flame: MythoGenesix and the Subtle Art of Seducing Ontological Freedom

The Evolution of Being: From MythoSelf to MythoGenesix

Names carry power. They evoke images, summon ideas, and hint at deeper truths. When I first began sharing the MythoSelf Process, it was born from a vision of helping people reconnect with their innate, generative essence—the mythic self within. Over time, as the work evolved, so too did the understanding of its depth and potential. Now, with a clearer lens, I’ve chosen to rename this work: MythoGenesix.

This new name reflects the integration of six distinct ontological levels embedded within the model, capturing the essence of an evolutionary process that begins with disruption and culminates in profound ontological consciousness. The “Genesix” not only nods to the genesis of personal transformation but also honors the six stages of awareness and being that this model encapsulates. It’s a name that holds the power and potential of what lies ahead, both for those who engage with this work and for the unfolding of their own profound journeys.

How We Got Here: The Journey to the Six Levels of Ontological Awareness

For 35 years, I have been immersed in the exploration and practice of transformational work, guiding individuals toward reconnecting with their deepest sense of self and purpose. Over the past decade, my focus has narrowed to a singular, profound question: how can we map and predict the process of ontological transformation—the fundamental evolution of being itself? This inquiry has led to the development of a predictable methodology that reveals and facilitates profound ontological change.

Through this work, the six levels of ontological awareness and consciousness emerged as a coherent framework. These levels represent a natural progression of growth, from being shaped by external perceptions to embodying transcendent states of awareness and creativity. Alongside this framework, I’ve developed methodologies that enable individuals to navigate and achieve this evolution, transforming their sense of self, their actions, and their engagement with the world.

The Evolution of Being: From Externally Defined Perceptions to Profound Ontological Consciousness

Imagine this: You wake up one day, realizing that the life you’ve been living feels oddly disconnected. The expectations that shaped your decisions, the rules you followed without question, even the very idea of who you are suddenly feels … off. Beneath the surface, something stirs, something primal and deeply authentic, longing to emerge.

This awakening is the beginning of a profound journey. It’s a shift from living as a constrained self—shaped by external narratives—to embracing the full, generative, and transcendent potential of your being. The model I want to introduce outlines this evolutionary process, a map of ontological awareness that guides you from external perception to profound ontological consciousness.

1. Constrained Self: The Externally Defined Being

In this initial stage, life is reactive. You’re caught in the web of societal norms, cultural conditioning, and inherited stories that dictate your identity. Your sense of self isn’t yours—it’s a mosaic of other people’s expectations.

  • What it feels like: You’re constantly seeking approval, chasing validation, or struggling to meet obligations. There’s a nagging sense that your choices aren’t really your own.
  • The challenge: Differentiating your authentic self from the stories imposed upon you.
  • The question: “What do others expect of me?”

Breaking free from this stage requires disrupting the narrative that binds you. This is the first tremor in the awakening process, often accompanied by discomfort and doubt.

2. Fragmented Awareness: Emerging Doubt

Here, the cracks in the facade begin to show. You start to question the assumptions that once felt solid. The roles you’ve played—the good worker, the dutiful partner, the reliable friend—feel like costumes you’ve outgrown.

  • What it feels like: Confusion, inner conflict, and a growing dissatisfaction. Moments of clarity are fleeting but undeniable.
  • The challenge: Overcoming the fear of stepping away from the familiar.
  • The question: “Why does this not feel right for me?”

This stage demands courage. It’s a leap into the unknown, where you begin exploring what lies beyond the narratives you’ve inherited.

3. Emergent Self: Reclaiming Agency

This is where the tide begins to turn. You take back the reins, stepping into your own power and redefining your identity based on internal values and desires rather than external demands.

  • What it feels like: Empowering and liberating, but also challenging as you navigate uncharted territory.
  • The challenge: Balancing newfound autonomy with the lingering pull of old influences.
  • The question: “What do I want for myself?”

In this stage, you’re no longer content to live passively. You become the architect of your own experience, setting the stage for even deeper transformation.

4. Authentic Self: Embodied Identity

Here, you’ve begun to embody your truth. The fractured pieces of your identity coalesce into a coherent, authentic whole. Your actions align with your internal sense of purpose, and you move through the world with confidence and grace.

  • What it feels like: Grounded, integrated, and in flow. You’re no longer fighting yourself or others.
  • The challenge: Sustaining authenticity amidst external pressures.
  • The question: “Who am I when I am fully myself?”

At this level, life feels generative. Creativity flows naturally, and relationships deepen as you show up as your true self.

5. Generative Self: A Transcendent Perspective

As you expand further, your focus shifts from personal fulfillment to contribution and connection. You begin to see yourself as a creative agent within a larger context, capable of fostering transformation not just in yourself but in the world around you.

  • What it feels like: Expansive and purpose-driven. Complexity becomes an opportunity rather than a burden.
  • The challenge: Navigating systemic complexities while maintaining coherence.
  • The question: “How can I create and contribute authentically in the world?”

This is where generativity takes hold—you’re not just living your life; you’re shaping it and inspiring others to do the same.

6. Transcendent Self: Profound Ontological Consciousness

The pinnacle of this journey is profound ontological consciousness—a state where individuality and universality coexist seamlessly. You perceive reality as fluid, abundant, and full of possibility, effortlessly balancing being and doing.

  • What it feels like: Unified, timeless, and deeply connected. Challenges dissolve into opportunities for expression.
  • The question: “What is the most elegant way to express my being in this moment?”

At this stage, life becomes art—a continuous, creative unfolding of your essence.

Navigating the Spiral of Growth

This progression is not a linear path but a spiral. Each stage builds upon the last, requiring:

  1. Disruption: Breaking free from limiting narratives.
  2. Exploration: Testing new ways of being.
  3. Integration: Stabilizing and embodying new awareness.

As you ascend the spiral, the distinctions between stages blur, and the journey becomes an ever-deepening expression of your authentic self.

Applying This Model in Transformational Work

Whether you’re a coach, a leader, or simply someone committed to growth, this model offers a powerful lens for understanding and facilitating transformation. By identifying where someone is on this spectrum, you can tailor interventions to meet their specific challenges and guide them toward the next stage.

Ultimately, this work is about reclaiming your birthright—the unmasked, generative essence of who you are. It’s about stepping into the fullness of your being and living a life of profound coherence, creativity, and contribution. This is the evolution of being, and it begins with a single question:

What’s next for you?
